CABBAGE ROLLS Microwave
1 small head cabbage
1 pound ground beef
2 medium onions, finely chopped
1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce, divided 1/2 cup cooked rice
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
Yield: 4 Servings
Cut core from cabbage; rinse. In medium glass bowl, cook, covered with plastic wrap, at HIGH 4 to 5
minutes. Remove 10 leaves; cut out hard center rib from each leaf (make a V-shape cut). Use
remaining cabbage in other recipes. Crumble ground beef into medium bowl. Add onions, V2 tomato
sauce, rice, salt and pepper; mix. To stuff cabbage, place beef-rice filling in cabbage leaf; roll
up, folding edges in. Arrange seam-side down in 12x8-inch dish. Blend remaining tomato sauce with
brown sugar and vinegar. Pour over rolls. Cover with plastic wrap. Cook at MEDIUM 28 to 30 minutes. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving.
